Sarah Madeline is a Canadian artist, writer, and programmer based in Southern California, United States. Madeline was chief editor and contributing writer for SCAN, a contemporary art publication at the University of Manitoba. She later became head curator at The Sunroom Artspace in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Treaty 1 territory. She has since moved to California to continue her practice.
Madeline’s work investigates the interconnected relationship between materials, technical processes, and their contexts within physical and digital spaces. Her ongoing research of found objects, images, and natural matter reflects on remnants and preservation, which are central to her practice.
